At Soma Clinic Waikiki. We offer general health checkups and provide treatments for common symptoms/ illnesses regardless of age, gender, or organ system. For complicated cases, we can refer you to an appropriate specialist.
General Health Checkups and Health Maintenance:
All age specific health maintenance screening tests can be ordered. Age specific referrals for special tests such as colonoscopy and bone density scans made. Common conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and obesity as well as common malignancies can be detected early and treated.
Commonly treated illnesses:
Hypertension, Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia, Obesity, Gout, Common colds, Flu, Tonsillitis, Metabolic syndrome, Gastroesophageal reflux, Gastritis, Stomach Ulcers, Irritable bowel sydrome, Constipation.
Dermatological Problems
Common rashes, moles, warts, eczema, psoriasis, impetigo, fungal infections, acne, hand dermatitis, abscesses, shingles, hair loss, dandruff. Simple dermatology procedures, biopsies and dermatologist referral are also available.
Minor orthopedic problems
Strains, sprains, contusions, back and neck pain, minor fractures. X-ray available on site.
Urological Problems
Urinary Tract Infections, Incontinence, Prostate problems, Erectile dysfunction,
Women’s Health
We have well woman examinations available once a week with a female nurse practitioner. Most acute women’s health problems can be tested and addressed in clinic every day.
Pschiatric conditions:
Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment reactions. Referral for psychiatry or psychology
Immunizations
Most immunizations available. Some immunizations will be ordered to and administered at a pharmacy.
Gastrointestinal Problems
Conditions such as gastritis and reflux, constipation, stomach flu and IBS. Referral for screening colonoscopy.
Eye problems
Acute eye problems such as styes, conjuctivitis, foreign body or corneal abrasions.
Surgical problems
Minor Surgical problems such as lacerations, abscesses and skin foreign bodies.
Infectious diseases
Infectious diseases such as COVID, FLU and RSV can be tested in-clinic by molecular testing.
Results can take as little as 15 min.
Ear Nose and Throat problems
Minor Ear Nose and Throat problems such as sinusitis, ear infections, tonsilitis, swimmer’s ear and cerumen impaction.
Endocrinological problems
Basic endocrinological problems such as thyroid disorders and diabetes.
Respiratory problems
Respiratory problems such as asthma, copd, bronchitis and sleep apnea.

All worker’s compensation and automobile insurances accepted.

Aloha! everyone. Let me introduce myself.
I was born and raised in Hawaii, graduated from Kahuku High School, U.H. Manoa and the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. After that, I left the islands to get training at Mercy Redding Family Practice Residency Program, an affiliated program of the University of California at Davis Medical School. After gaining board certification, I was fortunate enough to be hired as an urgent care physician at Straub’s Doctors on Call at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel and as a primary care physician at Waianae Comprehensive Community Health Center and later at St Luke’s Clinic Ala Moana. Most recently I have opened an independent practice at the Bank of Hawaii Waikiki Center providing primary and urgent care to residents and visitors.
